Exterior Paint Colours

Complement your surroundings
Start with your neighbours: choose a colour that complements the colours you see on their homes. Then consider sunlight. If your home gets a lot of sun, whites or yellows will make it radiant. On the other hand, if your home is more in the shade, such as a wooded area, opt for browns or greenish hues that pick out tones in the surrounding landscape.

Touches of colour
Don't forget the trims! You can paint them the same color as your siding, or in a contrasting shade. The latter is an interesting choice for highlighting architectural elements. When it comes to your roof color, think long term. Too bold a choice is likely to tire you out in the long run.
